Lioness Attacks Crocodile to Protect Her Cubs

No One Messes with My Cubs!

A mother lion, concerned about the safety of her young cubs, took to the water to fight a giant crocodile - in an attempt to protect her offspring as they crossed a river filled with the deadly Okavango reptiles.

The unbelievable contest was witnessed and captured by a passing photographer – whose fascinating images below will be evidence for the lioness emerging from the river triumphant, despite sustaining a bloody wound to her nose.
