Whatever it
is, just be right!
WHAT IS YOUR DEDICATION TO THE MOTHERLAND AS A CITIZEN?
"Before you hit 50 or you are past fifty, do something at least remarkable enough for your motherland to discover, even if it’s only planting a tree so that you give it life while leaving it something behind when it’s time for the nation to say its farewell to you.
As for now, I don’t think we need excellent or super-patriots. We just need patriotism, honestly practiced by all of us, and we don’t need these people that are more patriotic than others or anybody else."
I
keep wondering what is all this whining about with some people.
If
you’re coughing, and you don’t have a strategic plan, your Christmas windfall
seems not to be forthcoming then all of a sudden your box Television was about
to be switched off: - So, you can’t eat your cake? Let it dawn on you, you’re
fundamentally KENYAN!
STOP
wimping @ us.
We
are in every respect celebrating OUR country, its people, struggles and
troubles – simply #KenyaAtFifty
If
perhaps you have a small grudge, personal party or be it a coincidental dedication to your
folks past 50 – congratulations! That’s wonderful and we are happy for them,
but keep in your mind, they are devotedly breathing inside Kenya. That’s an indispensable
reality.
Let me jog your memory with a sequence of events. When you were born,
you had nothing, you knew nothing, and you didn’t even have teeth; so now that
you are all grown, whether you’re 15 or 50, you’re here snapping and posting
with an undutiful gut feeling you know something – or everything, moreover
about governance! You can’t even pause for a minute to at least acknowledge
that somewhere in between you were fully dependent on your parent(s), who saw
you
through diapers, daycare and welfare. So, you are now independent after so many
birthdays and bad days, and still cannot see life positively in a country that
hosts your standard of living and breath! (“Don’t bring for us.”) – There’s no country
in the world like KENYA.
So let us demonstrate the love for our country in
patriotic ways apart from loving it when you only have M-PESA!
I
could have listed numerous inventions and honors. But the fact that I am a
citizen of Kenya is the most diplomatic and cherished accomplishment. Just like
your parents, rich or poor, good or bad, they faithfully had you through. Let
it be likewise for your motherland, developed or not. It may be right or wrong
– but when right, keep it right; when wrong, put it right.
…and
at a day like this, I encourage you to be calm and attentive if jubilation
can’t fit your description of joy and triumph, we honestly need patriotism
openly practiced by all of us, and we don’t need these people that are more partisan
or devoted to writing rights and doing wrongs more than the average you or everybody
else.
Finally, let's get to the
whole POINT, and learn by heart that, patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst of your
emotions, but the calm and steady dedication of a worthy deed you can faithfully
execute and serve for your country in this lifetime.
…
Together we make a difference
PS: If you can possibly read this NOW, keep it in your mind, heart and soul – because you soon won’t be able to have enough energy, sound or eyesight to perform, sing or see another Kenya@50.
